The quintet plays heavy rock/metal wrapped in the sonic spirit of the 1970s. Drawing inspiration from everything the night sky has to offer in terms of rock music, the band blends influences from across music history – from proto-metal to NWOBHM. Their sound feels familiar yet ventures into new territory – a journey through time that connects past and future. Firmament fuse the signature trademarks of these eras into a sound that lingers not only in the ear, but especially in the heart.

Since 2022, the classic lineup of drums, bass, twin guitars, and vocals has been bringing their epic, dark, yet traditional heavy sound to the stage. The band has performed at festivals such as Muskelrock, Starlett Stock, and Trveheim, establishing themselves as a captivating live act that has earned highly positive feedback from the press, the scene, and their fans.

Now Firmament open the second chapter of their story with their new album For Centuries Alive, released on September 19, 2025, via Dying Victims Productions. With full dedication to their latest work, Firmament explore new sonic and lyrical realms – while celebrating their true sovereign: music in all its glory.
